Founded in 2006 by Peter Beck to develop rockets for sending payloads into low earth orbit quickly and affordably
Began in our basement by contract manufacturing composite materials for rockets, progressed to testing engines
SKYROCKETS IN FLIGHT
Outgrew Level Two in 2013 and moved to dedicated facility near Auckland airport after Series A raise
Raised undisclosed Series B in 2015 from Bay Area VCs, K1W1 and Lockheed Martin. Employ around 100 staff in composite engineering, manufacturing, propulsion and guidance systems
Series D round of $75M in 2017 values Rocket Lab at over $1B
LOW EARTH ORBIT DELIGHT
