  • 3.English-Gujarat(Arts and Crafts) Bandhani Art Earliest evidence of Bandhani dates back to Indus Valley Civilization as early as 4000 B.C. I have chosen this art because of its beautiful design and special techniques used to make it Rogan Art Rogan is a form of textile painting. With origins in Persia, it came to Kutch around 300 years ago.                                     I chose this painting because it is made from caster oil and natural colors. Natural colors do not harm the environment . Ajrakh is an age-old tradition practiced in Ajrakhpur, a village in the Kutch district of Gujarat. Textiles are treated with vegetable and mineral colours and the fabric goes through a washing cycle about eight times. But the end result is a beautiful piece of fabric that has also made its way to high-end fashion labels today. I chose this art form because Ajrakh is a symbol of pride and respect for men and glory for women. Sindhi people also present Ajrakh as a gesture of hospitality to their guests. Ajrakh Art
  • 4.English-Gujarat (Attires) Ghaghra Choli The attire consisted of the antriya lower garment, the uttariya veil worn over shoulder or head and stanapatta a chest-band, which finds mentioned in Sanskrit literature and Buddhist Pali literature during the 6th century B.C. Apart from the heavy detailed work like bandhani, embroidery with gold and zari thread and the jewelry, the colorful and festive look of the Ghaghra Choli is what makes it so attractive and eye catching , the reason I chose it.  The traditional Gujarati dresses for men includes Kediyu on the top and chorno at the bottom. Chorno is a type of cotton pants which is very comfortable. Kediyu is worn above the chorno. It is a frock type Kurta with frills.                                           I chose this attire because it is colorful and unique to the state. It represents the high festive spirit of the gujaratis. Kediyu and Chorno Phento is a headwear or a turban which worn by Gujarati men, especially in the rural areas of Gujrat. It consists of a layered cloth wrapped around the head in Gujarat the turban is called Phento, which is basically a rolled Pagdi. Bright colours are generally chosen for the Phento . It is only available in India and the Indian subcontinent which adds to its uniqueness. It's bright hues are a sight for sore eyes. The headwear is available in various colors and designs which makes it customizable as per the needs of the individual. Phento

  • 8.Science-Hydroponic Farming 1)Saves Space Plants grown in soil need to spread their roots in order to find water and all the nutrients they need to survive so they are planted a certain distance apart from each other .In hydroponic systems, roots don’t need to spread because water and nutrients are provided to them.  2)Water Conservation Hydroponic systems use about 10 times less water than field farming. Some systems recirculate water, reducing consumption even more. 3)Faster Growth Plants grown in hydroponic systems grow 30% to 50% faster than those grown in soil. 4) Healthier plants and bigger yields Hydroponic farming systems produce bigger yields which are healthier than plants grown in soil. Benefits of Hydroponic Farming 1)First , take plastic bottles and cut them into half and then take disposable glasses and arrange them as shown in the picture . Fix pieces of sponge into each glass . Make a hole in the sponges . 2) Put the saplings of different plants in each sponge. 3) Fill the glass with water. 1 2 3 4)After few days, the plants will start growing 4 5 Photo Essay on how to make a Hydroponic garden at home
