  • 1.Entrackr’s Unicorn Premier League brings India’s top unicorns on the cricket field After a couple of years of staying indoors, working remotely, and partaking in innumerable Zoom meetings, it’s time to step out. And what better sight than that of the rare Unicorns at play? Entrackr is organising the Unicorn Premier League — a cricket tournament which will see India’s top startups battle it out in the cricket field. Think of it as the IPL for startups. Starting February 24, 2023, in Gurugram, this biggest outdoor startup event after COVID will see teams from 16 Unicorns compete for the right to be crowned champions. These teams, with a collective worth of over $40 billion, will leave their valuations behind, and simply enjoy India’s favourite sport. A huge bonus will be the friendships, testing of each other’s cricket skills, and fun we hope the league brings to all stakeholders. The idea behind this event is to foster strong relationships between different startups and to engage them in some healthy competition — strengthening the bonds of the Indian startup community. Founders such as boAt’s Aman Gupta, OYO’s Ritesh Agarwal, Meesho’s Vidit Aatrey, and Spinny’s Niraj Singh will be seen on the cricket field along with their team members, engaging in competitive matches.
  • 2.Other participants include the likes of Pine Labs, Droom, The Good Glamm Group, Snapdeal, 1mg, Urban Company, Dailyhunt, and Pristyn Care. We expect more than 2,000 people from over 100 startups to attend the tournament. The event, sponsored by Probo, powered by Sequoia Capital, and supported by Value360, will be held across 9 days where 16 teams will participate in 32 matches. The finals of the tournament will be held on March 19, 2023, followed by a networking dinner. Apart from the 16 Unicorns that will participate in the Unicorn Premier League, the finals event is also expected to be graced with the presence of honourable Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur. Other chief guests include Razorpay’s Harshil Mathur and Snapdeal’s Kunal Bahl. During early 2018, Entrackr had organised the Startup Premier League which saw participation of Delhivery, Cure.Fit, Spinny, Snapdeal, Carbiqi (acquired by CarDekho), and NowFloats (acquired by Reliance), among others.
